A school in Dubai is seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary Design and Technology Teacher to inspire students and support their academic growth. This role plays a key part in shaping the future of young minds through innovative and engaging learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons to students at Key Stage 3 and beyond.
  • Develop and implement engaging and creative lesson plans aligned with the National Curriculum for England.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student creativity and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular learning and student outcomes.
  • Monitor and assess student progress using a range of formative and summative assessment methods.
  • Participate in school events, parent meetings, and other community-building activities.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in Design and Technology education and incorporate new ideas into teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant UK teaching qualification: minimum of a BEd. or BA/BSc + PGCE/QTS in Design and Technology or a related subject.
  • Minimum of 2 years of full-time teaching experience in a British school, either internationally or in the UK.
  • Experience teaching Design Technology at Key Stage 3.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching GCSE and A Level Design and Technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and technology integration in the classroom.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum for England.
