The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and qualified Secondary English Teacher to inspire and support students from 11 to 18 years old. This role offers the chance to shape young minds and contribute to a dynamic, inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons aligned with the English National Curriculum
- Track and support student progress through regular assessments and feedback
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to support student success
- Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students in line with safeguarding policies
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in English Language or a related field with PGCE
- Proven experience in teaching at the secondary level
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and with parents
- Commitment to student success and academic excellence
- Familiarity with the British curriculum and international education standards
Preferred
- Experience in teaching English as a Second Language
- Leadership experience or involvement in school initiatives
- Fluency in additional languages
- Experience with digital tools and online learning platforms
- Previous experience in an international school setting
