The Opportunity:
As a Secondary Inclusion Teacher – Exam Access Arrangements, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional learning needs. You will ensure that all exam access arrangements are implemented in line with current regulations, while providing tailored support that helps students achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage exam access arrangements for secondary students in line with JCQ guidelines.
- Deliver personalised support for students with SEND or other additional needs, both in-class and during assessments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all arrangements and interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure students receive appropriate support for learning and assessment.
- Monitor student progress, highlighting areas of strength, achievement, and ongoing need.
- Communicate effectively with students to support engagement, confidence, and adherence to school policies.
- Work as part of the Inclusion Team to contribute to pastoral and academic provision.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- EAA (Exam Access Arrangements) qualification is required.
- Proven experience providing additional support for students with diverse learning needs.
- Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student information professionally.
- Proficiency in ICT and digital platforms relevant to education and record-keeping.
- Ability to work methodically under pressure, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive approach to working with students, parents, and staff.
- Commitment to promoting inclusion, equality, and cultural awareness across the school.
Preferred
- Knowledge of SEND provision and JCQ exam access regulations.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, iSAMS.
- Previous experience working within a secondary Inclusion Team.
