The Opportunity:

As a Secondary Inclusion Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs. You will inspire and guide them through meaningful, engaging learning experiences that drive exceptional progress and ensure every student reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver inclusive, differentiated learning experiences tailored to the needs of all students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to create individualized education plans and support strategies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters respect, confidence, and engagement.
  • Participate in school-wide professional development and contribute to the ongoing improvement of inclusive education practices.
  • Support students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills that prepare them for future success.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and interventions.
  • Work closely with external agencies and specialists to provide holistic support for students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in inclusion education.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated instruction.
  • Experience working with students with a range of learning needs, including those with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school following the English National Curriculum.
  • Familiarity with IGCSE, GCSE, or IB qualifications.
  • Experience with assistive technology and inclusive classroom practices.
  • Background in curriculum development or special needs education.
