As a Secondary Learning Support Lead, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure consistent and effective support strategies.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing feedback to stakeholders.
- Provide professional development and guidance to teaching staff on inclusive teaching practices.
- Maintain detailed records of student performance and interventions.
- Liaise with external professionals, such as psychologists and speech therapists, when necessary.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and student well-being.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a learning support or special educational needs role.
- Proven ability to work with students with diverse learning needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working within an international school environment.
- Familiarity with IB or similar curricula.
Preferred
- Master’s degree in education or special needs.
- Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) program.
- Knowledge of assistive technology and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Fluency in additional languages.
- Experience in performing arts or music education.
