The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary Science Teacher to provide maternity cover in a stimulating and supportive educational environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality science education aligned with the IB and Swiss Baccalaureate curricula.
  • Design and implement engaging, interactive, and inquiry-based lessons that promote critical thinking and creativity.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the academic and personal development of all students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver cross-curricular and STEAM-focused learning experiences.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives that enhance teaching and learning.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and classroom activities.
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student learning and wellbeing.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Fully qualified and experienced Secondary Science Teacher with a relevant degree and teaching qualification.
  • Minimum of two years' extensive international teaching experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the IB and Swiss Baccalaureate curricula.
  • Ability to teach in a multilingual and multicultural environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with bilingual education or teaching in an international school setting.
  • Familiarity with STEAM programmes and innovative teaching methods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
