Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate student progress, achievement, and enjoyment in learning
- Collaborate with parents and multi-disciplinary teams to support student development
- Implement innovative and challenging teaching and learning strategies
- Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school community
- Deliver high-quality, individualised education that meets the needs of each student
- Support and lead professional development initiatives
- Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure a consistent and holistic approach to teaching
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in special needs education
- Strong knowledge of SEN frameworks and best practices
- Ability to develop and deliver individualised learning plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development
Preferred
- Experience with autism, complex behaviours, or sensory needs
- Familiarity with SCERTS, ELKLAN, or PECS methodologies
- Experience in behaviour management or medical procedures
- Background in mainstream or special needs education
- Leadership experience or interest in taking on leadership roles
