The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging, imaginative, and innovative English lessons across all key stages, including A-level.
- Collaborate with the English team to share best practice, develop resources, and enhance pedagogy.
- Inspire and motivate students of all abilities and backgrounds to achieve outstanding outcomes.
- Guide students in developing their skills in English language and literature, encouraging a lifelong love of the subject.
- Work closely with colleagues and contribute to a supportive, collaborative working environment.
- Support the school’s commitment to inclusivity, equal opportunities, and student wellbeing.
- Participate in the school’s professional development programme and take responsibility for your own continuous learning and growth.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A teaching degree, QTS, PGCE/PGDE or equivalent, recognised for teaching in the UK.
- Demonstrated academic qualifications in English or a related subject area.
- A genuine passion for English language and literature and the ability to inspire students.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a supportive working environment.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching across a range of key stages, including A-level.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Experience in curriculum development and resource creation.
- Experience in a school with a strong commitment to equal opportunities and inclusion.
