The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and adaptable Singing Music Tutor to join our vibrant and dynamic music department. The role involves delivering high-quality singing tuition to students across a range of levels and styles. This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-employed tutor to make a meaningful impact on students’ musical development within a school that values the arts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual singing lessons tailored to students’ needs and abilities.
- Provide guidance and support in developing vocal techniques, music theory, and performance skills.
- Collaborate with the Director of Music and other staff to contribute to school ensembles and events.
- Maintain regular communication with parents and manage invoicing directly.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit a variety of learning styles and levels.
- Stay up to date with current teaching practices and developments in music education.
- Encourage a love of music and performance among students.
- Contribute to the school's strong reputation in the arts and music.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in teaching singing at all levels.
- Strong vocal abilities and knowledge of music theory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
- Commitment to fostering a passion for music in students.
Preferred
- Experience in leading vocal ensembles or choirs.
- Familiarity with music technology and recording equipment.
- Experience with teaching students of varying ages and abilities.
- Background in performing or composing music.
