The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and adaptable Singing Music Tutor to join our vibrant and dynamic music department. The role involves delivering high-quality singing tuition to students across a range of levels and styles. This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-employed tutor to make a meaningful impact on students’ musical development within a school that values the arts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual singing lessons tailored to students’ needs and abilities.
  • Provide guidance and support in developing vocal techniques, music theory, and performance skills.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Music and other staff to contribute to school ensembles and events.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents and manage invoicing directly.
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit a variety of learning styles and levels.
  • Stay up to date with current teaching practices and developments in music education.
  • Encourage a love of music and performance among students.
  • Contribute to the school's strong reputation in the arts and music.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in teaching singing at all levels.
  • Strong vocal abilities and knowledge of music theory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
  • Commitment to fostering a passion for music in students.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading vocal ensembles or choirs.
  • Familiarity with music technology and recording equipment.
  • Experience with teaching students of varying ages and abilities.
  • Background in performing or composing music.
