Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a team of mathematics teachers, promoting a culture of high achievement and continuous professional development.

- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages intellectual curiosity and a love of learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring that all learners are challenged and supported to reach their full potential.

- Promote the values and ethos of the school, particularly within the mathematics department.
- Represent the department in meetings, conferences, and external events.
- Mentor and support junior staff, contributing to the professional growth of the teaching team.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in a school or educational setting, preferably in a senior role such as Head of Department.
- Excellent subject knowledge in mathematics, with a strong track record in teaching and curriculum development.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of teachers.
- Commitment to the values and ethos of a Catholic school, with the ability to promote these values within the department.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience in pastoral care and student support, ideally within a school environment.
Preferred
- Experience in a Catholic school or similar educational setting.
- Knowledge of innovative teaching methods and technologies that enhance student learning.
- Experience in curriculum leadership and strategic planning.
- Experience with school improvement initiatives or external inspections.
