The Opportunity:

As an English and Spanish Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting primary students in developing their language skills. You will help students gain confidence in English and introduce them to the fundamentals of Spanish, contributing to a rich and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support primary students in developing English proficiency through targeted instruction and collaboration with teachers.
• Help students build confidence and competence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in English.
• Introduce young learners to the foundations of Spanish through engaging and age-appropriate activities.
• Contribute to the development of a positive, language-rich environment across the primary school.
• Collaborate with teachers to ensure ELD learners can access the curriculum and make academic progress.
• Work as part of a supportive, collaborative team committed to student success.
• Provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs.
• Participate in the wider life of the school through extracurricular and community activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A degree in education, linguistics, or a related field.
• Experience working with primary-aged students, preferably in an international or multilingual setting.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• A commitment to inclusive, student-centred teaching practices.
• Patience, flexibility, and the ability to support diverse learning needs.

Preferred

• Experience in teaching English as a second language.
• Experience with the International GCSE or IB curriculum.
• Proficiency in Spanish.
• Experience with language development programs or ELD support.
• Familiarity with Nord Anglia Education or similar international school networks.
