The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic and supportive team as a STEM Teacher Trainee, gaining hands-on classroom experience while completing a fully funded teacher training programme. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your teaching career from day one, with mentorship and professional growth at the heart of the programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching in Maths, Physics, and Computer Science to students across a range of ages.
  • Participate in a fully funded PGCE course provided by Buckingham University.
  • Build classroom experience through observation and teaching on a reduced timetable in the first year.
  • Take on increased teaching responsibilities and leadership roles in the second year.
  • Engage with students through co-curricular activities and pastoral support.
  • Collaborate with experienced staff and mentors to develop your teaching practice.
  • Continue professional development through the Early Career Teachers (ECT) framework.
  • Contribute to a supportive and inclusive school culture.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in Maths, Physics, or Computer Science.
  • A passion for working with children and a commitment to education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to undergo child protection screening and Disclosure and Barring Service checks.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or working with young people.
  • Previous involvement in co-curricular activities or leadership roles.
  • Familiarity with the UK education system and teaching standards.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
