The Opportunity:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students through tailored learning activities and individualised support plans. This is a dynamic role that offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of students, particularly those with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering tailored learning activities and interventions for individuals and small groups.
  • Assist in developing and implementing individualised student support plans.
  • Provide academic and welfare support to students, including those with special educational needs and English as an additional language.
  • Work within the Alternative Resource Provision (ARP) and support other classroom-based activities.
  • Deliver targeted interventions to help students reach their full potential.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with teachers and parents.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Assist in the planning and organisation of learning resources and activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with students in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in education support.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEND) or English as an additional language (EAL).
  • Knowledge of inclusive education practices.
  • Experience in developing and implementing individualised support plans.
  • Familiarity with alternative resource provision (ARP) settings.
  • Previous experience in a teaching assistant or similar role.
