Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the curriculum and school standards.
- Prepare, apply, and develop engaging and effective lesson resources with the support of department leaders.
- Manage and motivate students in a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with support staff and colleagues to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Support the school’s mission by fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the English department.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure they achieve their full potential.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent evidence for overseas-trained teachers.
- Proven experience in teaching English at the appropriate level.
- Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and delivering innovative teaching resources.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Experience in a school undergoing transformation or improvement.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar qualifications.
