The Opportunity:

A Swimming Teacher is needed to inspire and educate children aged 4 to 16 in a dynamic and growing aquatics team. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners while contributing to a school that values innovation and excellence in education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality swimming lessons tailored to the needs of students across a wide age range.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that promotes confidence and skill development.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Learn to Swim and other educators to ensure alignment with the school’s educational goals.
  • Implement and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and colleagues.
  • Stay up to date with best practices in swimming instruction and child development.
  • Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community.
  • Ensure compliance with all safeguarding and health and safety policies.
  • Support the school’s mission to provide an inspiring world of education through aquatics.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified and experienced Swimming Teacher with a strong background in teaching children.
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective swimming lessons to students of all ages.
  • Strong knowledge of swimming techniques, safety protocols, and child development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a school or educational setting.
  • Familiarity with international education standards and curricula.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language or other language instruction.
  • Leadership experience or ability to mentor junior staff.
