The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Girls’ Physical Education to join its dynamic PE Department. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher or an ECT, and will involve delivering high-quality PE lessons, inspiring students, and contributing to the extra-curricular sports programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that promote physical literacy and lifelong participation in sport.
- Inspire and motivate students to enjoy physical activity and personal challenge.
- Support the development of students’ skills, knowledge, and personal, social and emotional growth through PE.
- Contribute to the extra-curricular sports programme, fixtures, and school competitions.
- Uphold and promote the school's core values of respect, inclusion, aspiration, and kindness.
- Work collaboratively with the PE Department to ensure a broad and inclusive curriculum.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of all learners.
- Promote a safe, fun, and challenging environment for students through PE and sport.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Physical Education.
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for PE and sport.
- Ability to deliver high-quality lessons to students of all abilities.
- Commitment to the school’s values of respect, inclusion, aspiration, and kindness.
Preferred
- Experience working with girls in a PE setting.
- Experience in developing and delivering extra-curricular sports activities.
- Experience with teaching students aged 11-16.
- Familiarity with current PE pedagogy and curriculum development.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range from £32,916 to £51,048 per annum.
