The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Girls’ Physical Education to join its dynamic PE Department. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher or an ECT, and will involve delivering high-quality PE lessons, inspiring students, and contributing to the extra-curricular sports programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that promote physical literacy and lifelong participation in sport.
  • Inspire and motivate students to enjoy physical activity and personal challenge.
  • Support the development of students’ skills, knowledge, and personal, social and emotional growth through PE.
  • Contribute to the extra-curricular sports programme, fixtures, and school competitions.
  • Uphold and promote the school's core values of respect, inclusion, aspiration, and kindness.
  • Work collaboratively with the PE Department to ensure a broad and inclusive curriculum.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Promote a safe, fun, and challenging environment for students through PE and sport.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Physical Education.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for PE and sport.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality lessons to students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to the school’s values of respect, inclusion, aspiration, and kindness.

Preferred

  • Experience working with girls in a PE setting.
  • Experience in developing and delivering extra-curricular sports activities.
  • Experience with teaching students aged 11-16.
  • Familiarity with current PE pedagogy and curriculum development.
