The Opportunity:

A Religious Studies Teacher is sought to inspire and educate students across KS3 and KS4, promoting critical thinking and respect for diverse beliefs. This role is ideal for educators passionate about shaping young minds and contributing to a dynamic, collaborative department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, thought-provoking, and inclusive Religious Studies lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Promote critical thinking, respect for diverse beliefs, and understanding of ethical and philosophical issues.
• Support the development of the wider Personal Development and Growth curriculum, including careers education and British Values.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning in the Humanities department.
• Contribute to the delivery of RSHE and other related initiatives, such as the Holocaust Beacon Project.
• Engage with the local community through various outreach and support initiatives.
• Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A degree in Religious Studies or a related subject.
• Experience in teaching Religious Studies at Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Commitment to maintaining high expectations for student achievement and well-being.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

• Experience with teaching Religious Studies and RSHE at GCSE level.
• Involvement in community-based projects or initiatives.
• Experience with supporting student personal development and careers education.
