The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and inspiring French and Spanish Teacher to join our team on a 0.8 FTE contract. This role offers the chance to shape the language learning experience of students and contribute to a thriving academic community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality French and Spanish lessons to students in line with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives.
  • Develop engaging and innovative teaching materials that promote student achievement and language proficiency.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support continued growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular links and share best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Support the school’s commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of teaching and student interaction.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and language-related events to promote student engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and teaching qualification (e.g., QTLS or equivalent).
  • Proven experience teaching French and Spanish at secondary level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student well-being.
  • Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching students aged 16-18.
  • Familiarity with vocational and academic pathways.
  • Experience in developing and delivering course content using digital tools.
  • Previous involvement in extracurricular or enrichment activities.
