The Opportunity:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support the classroom teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about early education and committed to helping children reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
• Assist in the planning and preparation of classroom resources and activities
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students as needed
• Monitor and support students’ behavior and well-being during lessons and breaks
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure consistent support for students
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development
• Communicate regularly with parents and carers to support student progress

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A genuine passion for working with young children
• Experience or willingness to work in an early years setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
• Experience with children with additional needs
• Knowledge of early years curricula and best practices
• Experience with classroom management and behavior support
