The Opportunity:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support the classroom teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about early education and committed to helping children reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Assist in the planning and preparation of classroom resources and activities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students as needed
- Monitor and support students’ behavior and well-being during lessons and breaks
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure consistent support for students
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development
- Communicate regularly with parents and carers to support student progress
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A genuine passion for working with young children
- Experience or willingness to work in an early years setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Preferred
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
- Experience with children with additional needs
- Knowledge of early years curricula and best practices
- Experience with classroom management and behavior support
