The Opportunity:

A Technology Teacher is needed to contribute to a successful design and technology team, delivering engaging and impactful learning experiences that support student attainment and progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality, practical lessons in technology that inspire student interest and achievement.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to enhance departmental practices and share innovative teaching ideas.
  • Foster strong, positive relationships with students to support their learning and personal development.
  • Stay up to date with the latest research and developments in technology education.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support to ensure continued improvement.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of departmental initiatives and curriculum development.
  • Promote a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement within the department.
  • Support the school’s commitment to student wellbeing and positive behaviour through consistent and professional practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in technology education.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and achieving strong student progress.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a department and responding to challenges effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development or leading departmental initiatives.
  • Familiarity with the latest educational technologies and teaching methods.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language or working with diverse student groups.
  • Leadership experience or the potential to take on a mentoring role within the department.
