The Opportunity:

As a Chemistry Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that challenge and motivate students across all key stages. This is an exciting opportunity to support students with ambitions to pursue higher education and careers in the natural sciences and related fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver creative and impactful lessons that engage and challenge students at all levels.
  • Support students aiming for top university placements, including Oxbridge and courses in Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, and Dentistry.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the department and across the school to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Take on a form tutor role and contribute to the pastoral care of students.
  • Participate in the extra-curricular life of the school, offering additional opportunities for students.
  • Follow schemes of work and maintain high standards of organisation and pedagogical practice.
  • Provide guidance and support to students in both academic and personal development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Chemistry education.
  • Ability to teach across all key stages.
  • Strong organisational and pedagogical skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
  • Willingness to take on a form tutor role.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Biology or Physics GCSE or Environmental Science A Level.
  • Experience with students aiming for Oxbridge or higher education in the natural sciences.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to extra-curricular activities.
