The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant to support students in English and Maths, assist with small-group and one-to-one interventions, and contribute to a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. This is a key role in a school that values the happiness and academic success of every child.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils in English and Maths through targeted interventions and classroom assistance.
- Assist teachers in delivering high-quality lessons and managing classroom activities.
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students requiring additional help.
- Promote inclusion and pupil wellbeing across the Prep Department.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement individual learning plans.
- Encourage student engagement and participation in all aspects of school life.
- Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour regularly.
- Contribute to the overall positive and supportive school culture.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to support pupils with diverse learning needs.
- Commitment to inclusion and student wellbeing.
- Basic knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, particularly in English and Maths.
Preferred
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
- Experience with small-group or one-to-one interventions.
- Familiarity with educational software and resources.
- A positive and flexible approach to working in a dynamic school environment.
