The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant to support students in English and Maths, assist with small-group and one-to-one interventions, and contribute to a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils in English and Maths through targeted interventions and classroom assistance.
  • Assist teachers in delivering high-quality lessons and managing classroom activities.
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students requiring additional help.
  • Promote inclusion and pupil wellbeing across the Prep Department.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement individual learning plans.
  • Encourage student engagement and participation in all aspects of school life.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour regularly.
  • Contribute to the overall positive and supportive school culture.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to support pupils with diverse learning needs.
  • Commitment to inclusion and student wellbeing.
  • Basic knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, particularly in English and Maths.

Preferred

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Experience with small-group or one-to-one interventions.
  • Familiarity with educational software and resources.
  • A positive and flexible approach to working in a dynamic school environment.
