The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and well-organised Theatre Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of a professional arts venue. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage box office operations and theatre administration
  • Oversee the hiring and coordination of external productions and events
  • Supervise casual staff and ensure all shows and events meet professional standards
  • Promote and support the school’s ethos and values through all theatre operations
  • Maintain strong communication with stakeholders, including external hirers and school staff
  • Ensure the efficient operation of the Sandpit Bar and related services
  • Coordinate with the Technical Theatre Manager to ensure smooth event delivery
  • Manage financial and IT aspects of theatre operations

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant administration experience
  • Strong IT and finance literacy
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
  • Passion for theatre and a hands-on approach

Preferred

  • Experience in theatre operations or event management
  • Knowledge of UK Theatre standards and rates
  • Experience with marketing and promoting events
  • Familiarity with educational institutions and their operations
