The Opportunity:

As a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, you will support individual or small groups of students across the curriculum, helping them reach their full potential in a dynamic and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish a supportive relationship with the student(s) concerned.
• Develop an understanding of the specific needs of the student(s) through liaison with staff and professional development.
• Support in-class learning and social interactions under the guidance of subject teachers.
• Observe student progress and redirect attention to promote independence when appropriate.
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt resources and support lesson planning.
• Provide personalised support outside the classroom as directed.
• Track pupil progress against IEP targets and provide feedback to the Oasis Link.
• Perform break duties and attend staff meetings when requested.
• Support the Oasis department with cover and administrative tasks when required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• At least a High School Diploma.
• Relevant and recent school-based experience in a classroom or 1:1 setting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

• CACHE Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
• Experience with special educational needs or inclusive education.
• Familiarity with IEPs and student support strategies.
