The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced A-level Mathematics Teacher to join a highly successful department. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on student achievement and support their progression to top universities worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality A-level and AS-level Mathematics and Further Mathematics lessons.
  • Prepare and mark assessments, providing detailed feedback to support student progress.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that align with the school’s traditional and exam-focused approach.
  • Provide one-to-one support and guidance to students to enhance their understanding and performance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent standards and continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
  • Stay up to date with curriculum changes and incorporate innovative teaching methods where appropriate.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the Mathematics curriculum.
  • Support students in setting and achieving academic goals through personalized consultation and planning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant teaching experience in the UK, preferably with the 15-18 age group.
  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching A-level and AS-level Mathematics.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and Further Mathematics.
  • Ability to teach Statistics and Decision Maths is an advantage.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience with exam marking or examiner roles.
  • Familiarity with small group teaching and personalized learning approaches.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in developing and delivering exam-focused curricula.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of £36,000 to £50,000, negotiable.
