As the Head of Maths, you will lead a successful and growing Maths Faculty, driving excellence in teaching and learning. This role offers the chance to make a lasting impact on student achievement and the future of mathematics education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Maths Faculty, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes and engagement in Mathematics.
  • Support and mentor Maths teachers, fostering a culture of professional growth and collaboration.
  • Oversee curriculum development and ensure alignment with national standards and school goals.
  • Coordinate extracurricular activities, including Mathematics clubs and competitions.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to shape the strategic direction of the school.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the Maths Faculty, providing feedback and support.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages all students to succeed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a Head of Department or Subject Leader in Mathematics.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with a track record of improving student achievement.
  • In-depth knowledge of Mathematics curriculum and pedagogy at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate both students and staff.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a successful Maths Faculty with a strong record of examination results.
  • Experience with teacher training and professional development.
  • Familiarity with Mathematics-related competitions and extracurricular activities.
  • Experience in a selective or independent school setting.
