Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Maths Faculty, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes and engagement in Mathematics.
- Support and mentor Maths teachers, fostering a culture of professional growth and collaboration.
- Oversee curriculum development and ensure alignment with national standards and school goals.
- Coordinate extracurricular activities, including Mathematics clubs and competitions.
- Work closely with senior leadership to shape the strategic direction of the school.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the Maths Faculty, providing feedback and support.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages all students to succeed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as a Head of Department or Subject Leader in Mathematics.
- Strong leadership and management skills with a track record of improving student achievement.
- In-depth knowledge of Mathematics curriculum and pedagogy at all levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate both students and staff.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a successful Maths Faculty with a strong record of examination results.
- Experience with teacher training and professional development.
- Familiarity with Mathematics-related competitions and extracurricular activities.
- Experience in a selective or independent school setting.
