The Opportunity:
We are seeking an A Level Politics Teacher to inspire and motivate students of all abilities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Politics and committed to raising achievement and aspirations. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach A Level Politics to students aged 16-19, delivering engaging and inspiring lessons.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality lesson plans that meet curriculum requirements and promote student progress.
- Monitor and assess student performance, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to departmental and whole-school initiatives.
- Support students in developing critical thinking, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of political concepts.
- Engage with parents and carers to provide regular updates on student progress and achievement.
- Participate in staff development and training to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and pastoral support.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in A Level Politics.
- Proven ability to teach and inspire students of all abilities.
- Commitment to raising student achievement and aspirations.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Experience in a school or college environment, preferably with A Level students.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching A Level History or other related subjects.
- Early career teachers with potential and enthusiasm for the subject.
- Experience in developing and delivering engaging, student-centred lessons.
- Demonstrated success in achieving high student outcomes and results.
