The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching across the BTEC National Extended Certificate, Diploma, and Extended Diploma in Uniformed Protective Services.
  • Inspire and motivate students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and resources that align with curriculum standards.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the learning experience.
  • Support students in raising aspirations and preparing for future opportunities, including higher education and employment.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the school’s teaching and learning strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in BTEC Uniformed Protective Services or a related field.
  • Proven ability to teach across a range of BTEC qualifications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching within a sixth form college or similar setting.
  • Experience with the BTEC National qualifications.
  • Evidence of achieving good or outstanding results in previous roles.
  • Experience with pastoral support and student engagement.
  • Familiarity with the latest teaching methodologies and technologies.
