Teaching Assistant Primary – Temporary, Part-Time Role for One Year

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant Primary to join our team on a temporary, part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners while supporting teachers and contributing to a positive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils in accessing learning and managing classroom activities under the guidance of teaching staff
- Assist with the delivery of lessons and provide one-to-one support where needed
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure the needs of all students are met
- Monitor and report on student progress and behavior
- Participate in planning and preparation of resources and activities
- Support the implementation of school policies and procedures
- Engage with students, parents, and the wider community to promote a positive learning culture
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with children in a primary school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly and support a team
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Willingness to work part-time and on a temporary basis
Preferred
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role
- Experience with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
- Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices
- Experience in delivering support across both primary and secondary phases
- Familiarity with the Delta Academies Trust values and ethos
