The Opportunity:

As a Finance Administrator, you will support the school’s financial management by providing accurate information and ensuring procedures are followed. This role is ideal for someone looking to make a meaningful contribution to a school that values its staff and students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Finance Officer/Manager in managing financial processes and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to meet the school’s requirements.
  • Maintain and update financial records in line with best practices and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Provide administrative support for financial meetings and audits.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial policies are followed consistently.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial legislation and guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in a finance or administration role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
  • Knowledge of financial systems and software, such as Sage or Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational organisation.
  • Familiarity with school budgeting and financial planning processes.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
