The Opportunity:

As an Activity Leader, you will play a vital role in creating a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for international students aged 12–17. This hands-on position offers the chance to lead engaging activities, support student development, and contribute to a dynamic summer school programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a wide range of afternoon activities and evening events
  • Plan sessions with the Activities Coordinator and ensure equipment and facilities are ready
  • Lead excursions and support students in exploring British culture
  • Promote spoken English through activities, games, and teamwork
  • Maintain excellent safeguarding, pastoral care, and behaviour management
  • Engage with students, staff, group leaders, and agents with enthusiasm and professionalism
  • Assist with airport transfers
  • Participate in residential duties (if in a residential role)

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous experience of working for a summer school leading activities and events
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and supervise groups of students
  • Commitment to safeguarding and pastoral care
  • Flexibility and willingness to work in a fast-paced, international environment

Preferred

  • Sports coaching qualifications
  • Experience leading skills’ academies in Coding, Art & Design, Outdoor Adventure, Tennis, Performing Arts, Cookery, Swimming, or British Sports
  • Fluency in a second language
  • Experience with international students or in a residential setting
