The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and inspirational Biology Teacher to join our team in August 2026. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality education to students from Years 7 to 13, with a strong emphasis on IGCSE and IBDP Environmental Systems and Societies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Biology to students across Years 7 to 13, with a focus on IGCSE and IBDP Environmental Systems and Societies.
• Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that promote student agency and a love of learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a rigorous and internationally minded curriculum.
• Contribute to the school’s pastoral care and extra-curricular programme.
• Support students in achieving academic excellence and personal growth.
• Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and performance.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and curiosity.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Biology Teacher with relevant teaching experience.
• Experience teaching IGCSE and/or IBDP Environmental Systems and Societies.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
• Commitment to the school’s ethos and values, including internationalism, equity, and sustainability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to contribute to the school’s pastoral and extra-curricular programmes.

Preferred

• Experience teaching in an international school setting.
• Familiarity with the IB Diploma Programme.
• Experience with differentiated instruction and student-centred learning approaches.
• Leadership experience or willingness to take on leadership roles within the department.
