The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Admin & Reception Assistant to join our team. This role is vital to the smooth running of the school, providing a warm and welcoming first point of contact for visitors, students, and staff. The successful candidate will support the school’s mission by delivering a high standard of administrative and reception services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist visitors, students, and staff with a friendly and professional approach.
  • Provide efficient and accurate administrative support across a range of clerical tasks.
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and general correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the preparation of documents, reports, and presentations using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Maintain a high standard of organisation and time management to meet the needs of the school.
  • Support the administration team during busy periods and occasional after-school events.
  • Ensure the reception area is welcoming and well-maintained at all times.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth communication and coordination.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • A friendly, approachable, and professional manner.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in an educational setting.
  • Experience with administrative systems and software.
  • Knowledge of school operations and procedures.
