The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and innovative Maths Teacher to join its thriving Mathematics department. This role is ideal for an ECT, with a full induction programme available. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to inspire and support students in achieving academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Mathematics at all key stages, including A-level.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Support student progress through effective assessment and feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve the Mathematics curriculum.
  • Participate in department meetings and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students as needed.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Mathematics education and pedagogy.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and events related to Mathematics.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Ability to teach A-level Mathematics.
  • Commitment to student progress and pastoral care.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working with ECTs or in an induction programme.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Experience in a school with a strong pastoral and academic focus.
