The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic Business Manager - Trust to support a school's operational and strategic needs. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth running of non-teaching areas and maintaining alignment with the Trust’s mission and values. The successful candidate will play a key role in bridging the gap between central services and school leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee finance, contract management, estates management, and HR-related functions.
  • Act as a liaison between the Trust’s Central Services team and school leaders.
  • Provide strategic and operational support across non-teaching and learning areas.
  • Line manage and support school-based administration and support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with Trust policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of business strategies.
  • Support the school in achieving its educational and operational goals.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including governors and senior leaders.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in business management within an educational setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of finance, contract management, estates management, and HR.
  • Strong leadership and line management experience.
  • Commitment to the Catholic ethos and values.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a Multi Academy Trust environment.
  • Familiarity with Catholic education principles and practices.
  • Experience in strategic planning and implementation.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex projects and teams.
