The Opportunity:

A school is seeking an experienced Arabic Teacher to join a dedicated team committed to excellence in education. This role offers the opportunity to lead and inspire students while contributing to a culturally rich academic environment that values innovation and tradition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement high-quality Arabic curricula for students in Year 5 to Year 13, ensuring inclusivity for diverse learning needs.
  • Oversee the strategic direction and development of the Arabic department, aligning with the school’s vision and goals.
  • Promote UAE culture across the curriculum and lead initiatives that enhance Arabic language proficiency and national identity.
  • Manage and support the Arabic teaching team through performance management, collaboration, and professional development.
  • Organize and lead International Benchmark Assessments and use data to inform teaching strategies and student interventions.
  • Coordinate cultural events such as Ramadan celebrations and Iftar to foster unity and cultural understanding within the school.
  • Ensure efficient deployment of staff and resources within the Arabic department and maintain departmental budgets.
  • Provide targeted support to Emirati students in Arabic literacy to prepare them for post-secondary education.
  • Serve as a tutor in Middle and Senior School, offering pastoral support and contributing to student well-being.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related subject with PGCE or an equivalent teacher qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience with leadership experience preferred.

Preferred

  • Master's in Arabic Language or Education.
  • Experience in curriculum development and strategic planning.
  • Strong understanding of Emirati culture and national identity.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of educators.
