As Head of Mathematics, you will lead the development and delivery of a high-quality mathematics curriculum across all year groups. This role is ideal for an experienced and visionary educator who is passionate about driving academic success and inspiring students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement departmental policies aligned with the school’s vision and educational standards.
• Analyze and interpret data to identify underachieving students and create targeted support plans.
• Ensure the design and regular review of schemes of work that cater to all learners, including SEN, G&T, and EAL students.
• Oversee the quality of teaching and learning, using evaluation to drive continuous improvement.
• Manage and develop a team of staff through performance management and collaborative leadership.
• Contribute to the school’s CAS Programme and support after-school revision and booster sessions.
• Ensure the effective use of resources, budgets, and facilities to create an inspiring learning environment.
• Take responsibility for covering absences, invigilating examinations, and supporting the Examinations Officer.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in the related subject with PGCE or equivalent teacher qualification.
• Minimum of 6 years of teaching experience in the English National Curriculum.
• Experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.

Preferred

• Recent and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities.
• Experience in leading and managing a department.
• Strong understanding of the values and culture of the region.
