The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a dynamic creative curriculum across A Level Fine Art, A Level Art & Design, and Level 4 Foundation Diploma in Art, Design and Media.
  • Inspire and challenge highly motivated students through innovative teaching and mentorship.
  • Guide students in developing their personal investigations and portfolios for progression to top universities.
  • Collaborate with the Arts & Humanities Faculty to implement evidence-informed teaching strategies.
  • Champion artistic engagement through outreach programs and partnerships with local institutions.
  • Manage and develop a comprehensive art curriculum that bridges practice and theory.
  • Support students in building confidence and preparing for diverse creative and professional pathways.
  • Maintain and update teaching resources to ensure a high standard of instruction.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as an outstanding A Level Art practitioner with a track record of student success.
  • Strong planning and time management skills.
  • Deep subject expertise and a passion for teaching and learning.
  • Ability to inspire and challenge both students and colleagues.
  • Commitment to collaborative, evidence-informed teaching.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Experience in mentoring students through independent portfolio development.
  • Background in working with high-achieving students in a sixth form setting.
  • Familiarity with contemporary art theory and visual culture.
