Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver a dynamic AQA curriculum, covering Breadth and Depth Studies with academic rigour.
• Inspire students to engage with complex historical narratives and develop strong analytical skills.
• Guide students through their Historical Investigation (NEA), fostering academic independence and research skills.
• Promote historical engagement through enrichment activities such as guest speakers and field visits.
• Collaborate with the Human Sciences Faculty to implement innovative teaching strategies and improve student outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience teaching AQA History at A Level.
• Strong subject knowledge with the ability to explain complex historical concepts clearly and engagingly.
• Commitment to evidence-informed teaching and student progression.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Preferred

• Experience in mentoring students for university applications and competitive degree pathways.
• Familiarity with teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL) or similar subjects.
• Experience with extended writing, source evaluation, and retrieval practice techniques.
