The Opportunity:

As a Student Support Mentor (SEN), you will play a vital role in helping students with additional needs reach their full potential. You will deliver targeted academic support, manage the Student Support Hub, and ensure students are empowered to thrive in an environment of high expectations and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1, small group, and in-class academic support to students with additional needs.
  • Act as a liaison between subject teachers, parents/carers, and the Student Support Team.
  • Champion the social and emotional development of students, fostering independence and resilience.
  • Maintain accurate records in SIMS and assist in writing Student Profiles.
  • Ensure the Student Support Hub is a purposeful learning environment and uphold safeguarding protocols.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in providing support to students with additional needs.
  • Strong planning and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to the values and vision of the school.

Preferred

  • Experience with SEN support strategies and interventions.
  • Knowledge of SIMS and other educational management systems.
  • Experience in developing training resources for SEN support.
