The Opportunity:

As a Higher Education Progression Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of students by guiding them through complex application processes and fostering high aspirations. This is a leadership role in a school with a national reputation for excellence, where your impact will be felt across the institution and in the lives of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion elite progression strategies and manage high-level application cycles.
  • Coordinate enrichment activities, masterclasses, and external partnerships with higher education and industry leaders.
  • Provide expert 1:1 guidance and tailored interventions to support student success.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with elite universities, corporate partners, and families.
  • Deliver clear, confident presentations to large groups and maintain empathetic communication during 1:1 sessions.
  • Promote inclusive success by ensuring all students have access to the best progression routes.
  • Manage large-scale events and detailed student data with precision and organisation.
  • Support the school’s vision for the future, including its upcoming Ofsted inspection and development plans.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in higher education progression and student guidance.
  • In-depth knowledge of the UCAS process, competitive admissions tests, and higher-level apprenticeships.
  • Strong organisational and event management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships.

Preferred

  • Experience with strategic partnership development in education or industry.
  • Leadership experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Background in pastoral support or student welfare.
  • Experience with data management or student tracking systems.
