Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and structured lessons across a range of artistic disciplines.
  • Support students in developing independent ideas and a strong personal artistic voice.
  • Plan and implement creative, well-structured lessons that encourage exploration and originality.
  • Contribute to a vibrant co-curricular programme, including life drawing and art clubs.
  • Maintain high standards in marking, assessment, and classroom organisation.
  • Create inspiring displays that celebrate student achievement and progress.
  • Stay up to date with contemporary art practice and bring enthusiasm for exhibitions and artists into the classroom.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student development and departmental goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A strong background in art education and teaching experience at GCSE and A Level.
  • Confidence in teaching a range of artistic disciplines, including digital photography and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ability to plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons that encourage student independence and creativity.
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and delivering digital art and photography modules.
  • A passion for contemporary art and exhibitions.
  • Experience in contributing to co-curricular activities and departmental enrichment.
