Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and structured lessons across a range of artistic disciplines.
- Support students in developing independent ideas and a strong personal artistic voice.
- Plan and implement creative, well-structured lessons that encourage exploration and originality.
- Contribute to a vibrant co-curricular programme, including life drawing and art clubs.
- Maintain high standards in marking, assessment, and classroom organisation.
- Create inspiring displays that celebrate student achievement and progress.
- Stay up to date with contemporary art practice and bring enthusiasm for exhibitions and artists into the classroom.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support student development and departmental goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A strong background in art education and teaching experience at GCSE and A Level.
- Confidence in teaching a range of artistic disciplines, including digital photography and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons that encourage student independence and creativity.
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and delivering digital art and photography modules.
- A passion for contemporary art and exhibitions.
- Experience in contributing to co-curricular activities and departmental enrichment.
