The Opportunity:

As an Art Technician, you will support the Art department by assisting staff and students in delivering high-quality creative learning experiences. This role is ideal for someone passionate about art and design who wants to make a meaningful impact in a well-resourced and supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of art equipment, materials, and resources.
  • Support staff and students in the effective use of art technologies and software, including Adobe tools.
  • Help organize and manage art exhibitions, displays, and events.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement creative learning activities.
  • Maintain a safe and inspiring art environment for students and staff.
  • Provide technical support during art lessons and extracurricular activities.
  • Keep accurate records of art supplies and inventory.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of art programs and facilities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A level or equivalent qualification in Art or Design.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated reliability and willingness to learn.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting is preferred.

Preferred

  • Experience with Adobe software.
  • Knowledge of art techniques and materials.
  • Experience in a similar technician or support role.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including INSET days and additional school events.
