The Opportunity:

Join a passionate team of educators as an Art Teacher and inspire creativity in students with SEMH and complex needs. This role offers the chance to shape a dynamic curriculum and make a meaningful impact in a supportive school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging Art lessons that support curriculum coverage and inclusive learning for all students.
  • Set clear targets for pupil achievement and use data to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and implement termly, weekly, and daily lesson plans aligned with school policy and curriculum development.
  • Create a stimulating and well-organised learning environment that promotes creativity and engagement.
  • Implement effective systems for assessing, recording, and reporting pupil attainment.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and communicate confidently with families and colleagues.
  • Manage time effectively and participate in professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and support whole-school improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • PgCert Ed or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for inspiring creativity
  • Commitment to inclusive, high-quality teaching
  • Confidence in using data to drive pupil progress
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with SEMH or complex needs
  • Experience in curriculum development
  • Experience with inclusive teaching strategies
  • Experience with ICT in the classroom
