The Opportunity:
Join a passionate team of educators as an Art Teacher and inspire creativity in students with SEMH and complex needs. This role offers the chance to shape a dynamic curriculum and make a meaningful impact in a supportive school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging Art lessons that support curriculum coverage and inclusive learning for all students.
- Set clear targets for pupil achievement and use data to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and implement termly, weekly, and daily lesson plans aligned with school policy and curriculum development.
- Create a stimulating and well-organised learning environment that promotes creativity and engagement.
- Implement effective systems for assessing, recording, and reporting pupil attainment.
- Build strong relationships with parents and communicate confidently with families and colleagues.
- Manage time effectively and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and support whole-school improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- PgCert Ed or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for inspiring creativity
- Commitment to inclusive, high-quality teaching
- Confidence in using data to drive pupil progress
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Preferred
- Experience working with students with SEMH or complex needs
- Experience in curriculum development
- Experience with inclusive teaching strategies
- Experience with ICT in the classroom
Compensation & Benefits:
