The Opportunity:
As an Assistant Head Teacher EYFS, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of early years education. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced professional to lead and grow in a newly established school, ensuring the delivery of high-quality academic, pastoral, and co-curricular provision aligned with the school’s strategic vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and develop the strategic vision for academic, pastoral, and safeguarding provision within EYFS
- Maintain and raise academic standards through effective tracking and intervention
- Design and lead the entry assessment process for all pupils into EYFS and Year 1
- Implement strategies to ensure strong pupil progress and track this effectively
- Compose, review, and monitor all academic policies specific to EYFS
- Develop appropriate practice in line with global standards and local authority requirements
- Lead and collaborate with staff to ensure cohesive delivery of academic policies
- Support the school’s vision for an inclusive community and excellence in all areas
- Lead performance management processes and hold staff to high standards in teaching, learning, and pastoral provision
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Professional teaching qualification
- Experience in EYFS within a British curriculum setting
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proven leadership experience within an EYFS setting
- Strong understanding of EYFS teaching pedagogy, child development, and effective provision
- Secure knowledge of safeguarding, inclusion, and pastoral leadership
- Strong understanding of assessment, data analysis, and school improvement
- Experience in performance management and quality assurance
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience
Preferred
- International experience
- Experience with KHDA requirements and UAE cultural understanding
- Experience in leading or supporting inspection readiness
- Experience in using data to inform provision, intervention, and strategic planning
- Experience in working with families and external agencies to support pupil outcomes
