The Opportunity:

As an Assistant Head Teacher EYFS, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of early years education. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced professional to lead and grow in a newly established school, ensuring the delivery of high-quality academic, pastoral, and co-curricular provision aligned with the school’s strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and develop the strategic vision for academic, pastoral, and safeguarding provision within EYFS
  • Maintain and raise academic standards through effective tracking and intervention
  • Design and lead the entry assessment process for all pupils into EYFS and Year 1
  • Implement strategies to ensure strong pupil progress and track this effectively
  • Compose, review, and monitor all academic policies specific to EYFS
  • Develop appropriate practice in line with global standards and local authority requirements
  • Lead and collaborate with staff to ensure cohesive delivery of academic policies
  • Support the school’s vision for an inclusive community and excellence in all areas
  • Lead performance management processes and hold staff to high standards in teaching, learning, and pastoral provision

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Professional teaching qualification
  • Experience in EYFS within a British curriculum setting
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proven leadership experience within an EYFS setting
  • Strong understanding of EYFS teaching pedagogy, child development, and effective provision
  • Secure knowledge of safeguarding, inclusion, and pastoral leadership
  • Strong understanding of assessment, data analysis, and school improvement
  • Experience in performance management and quality assurance
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching experience

Preferred

  • International experience
  • Experience with KHDA requirements and UAE cultural understanding
  • Experience in leading or supporting inspection readiness
  • Experience in using data to inform provision, intervention, and strategic planning
  • Experience in working with families and external agencies to support pupil outcomes
