Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the development of teaching and learning across the school.
  • Work closely with the Executive Headteacher to implement school-wide strategies and initiatives.
  • Manage and develop a team of teachers, providing guidance and professional development.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring high standards of achievement.
  • Represent the school in meetings, inspections, and external communications.
  • Support the school’s mission and values, including spiritual development and community engagement.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction and improvement of the school.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum development and assessment practices.
  • Experience in school improvement and raising standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a Catholic or faith-based educational setting.
  • Leadership experience within a multi-academy trust or similar organization.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Experience in leading whole-school initiatives or change management.
