The Opportunity:
As an Assistant Headteacher - Teaching and Learning, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the quality of teaching and learning across the school. This is a leadership position that offers the chance to influence practice, support staff development, and ensure that students receive the highest standard of education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop teaching and learning strategies across the school.
- Support and challenge staff to improve practice and raise student achievement.
- Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning across all departments.
- Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high expectations.
- Ensure that student progress and attainment remain at the heart of all decisions.
- Provide professional development and mentorship to teaching staff.
- Contribute to the development of the school’s strategic vision and priorities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in improving student attainment and progress.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Experience in developing and implementing effective teaching and learning strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a similar role within a secondary school setting.
- Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices.
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Familiarity with Ofsted standards and school improvement processes.
