The Opportunity:

Join a high-performing Science faculty as a Biology and Chemistry Teacher, delivering impactful lessons at KS3–KS5, including A Level and IBDP. This role offers the chance to shape future generations of learners in a supportive, innovative, and globally connected environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Biology and/or Chemistry across KS3–A Level and/or IBDP.
  • Support the teaching of general Science to middle and senior school students.
  • Track, assess, and support student progress to ensure academic success.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners, including EAL students.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school life.
  • Engage in professional development and reflective practice.
  • Integrate educational technologies such as VR, AI, and digital tools into lessons.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience teaching Biology and/or Chemistry at A Level and/or IBDP.
  • Strong value-added outcomes and a student-centred teaching approach.
  • Fluency in English with excellent communication and technical skills.
  • Experience teaching across a range of year groups.
  • Ability to differentiate effectively, especially for EAL learners.
  • Commitment to pastoral care and student development.
  • Reflective mindset and a passion for professional learning.
  • Willingness to adopt innovative technologies in science education.

Preferred

  • Experience with international curricula such as IBDP.
  • Background in extracurricular or enrichment programme leadership.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Experience in a school with a strong inspection rating or international reputation.
