As a KS1 Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging, high-quality learning experiences rooted in the English National Curriculum. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons aligned with the English National Curriculum for KS1.
  • Support and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those with English as an additional language.
  • Create a nurturing, engaging classroom environment that supports academic, social and emotional development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute positively to year-group and whole-school initiatives.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
  • Promote and uphold strong safeguarding practices in line with school policies.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including pastoral care and enrichment activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Successful experience teaching KS1 and evidence of strong impact on pupil outcomes.
  • A creative, child-centred approach rooted in Quality First Teaching.
  • Strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum for KS1.
  • Fluency in English with excellent spoken, written and technical language skills.
  • A positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to contribute to team and school life.
  • Commitment to pastoral care and to developing the whole child.
  • A reflective mindset and enthusiasm for professional growth.
  • High professional standards and adherence to robust safeguarding practices.

Preferred

  • Experience with Pie Corbett’s Talk 4 Writing.
