Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Biology at GCSE and A Level, ensuring a high standard of academic delivery.
• Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that foster curiosity and critical thinking.
• Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized learning and assessment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Science curriculum.
• Participate actively in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and events.
• Provide pastoral care and mentorship to students where appropriate.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
• Stay up to date with developments in Biology and educational research.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with a degree in Biology or a related subject.
• Relevant teaching experience, ideally in a school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons.
• Commitment to student welfare and the promotion of British values.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

• Experience teaching at both GCSE and A Level.
• Experience with inclusive education and supporting students with diverse needs.
• Familiarity with modern teaching methods and technologies.
• Leadership experience or a willingness to take on departmental responsibilities.
